Letter #7
Christmas 2004/Happy New Year 2005
Happy New
Year to each and everyone of you and your
families! As you can see my Christmas
letter this year became a New Year’s letter.
I think each of you know how time flies so quickly and then next thing
you know… Christmas is here and gone!
Billy is
now 23 months old and full of energy! He
is sure a smiley guy, as you can see by our Christmas card this year. He loves his wagon, cars and Choo Choo’s! We can’t cross a rail road track without him
exclaiming “Choo Choo!” Bill and I almost feel guilty because we
can’t control the passing of the trains, but Billy is just as satisfied to see
the tracks.
He is
talking all of the time and can say so many different words. There are still a few that are not quite
understandable, but that’s okay because we enjoy the chatting that we are now
able to do! He is almost 3 feet tall and
growing out of shoes like crazy. It is
hard to believe that he will be 2 years old on Feb. 7 of this year. He will be going to daycare for the first
time this month and we think he will enjoy the time he gets to spend with other
kids his age. We also plan to start him
in the preschool this fall that CMSU offers.
We are excited about this opportunity.
Christmas
was an exciting time this year as Billy was thrilled to see his presents under
the tree and spend time with each of our families. He got to spend a week at Gammie
and Grandpa Brinkley’s house and time at Grandma and Grandpa Yanez’s house too!
My
brother, Uncle Doug, was able to make it home for Christmas this year and Billy
enjoyed getting to know him better. Doug
had not been able to make it home for Christmas in over 6 years due to his work
schedule. It was a nice time!
Bill and
I are still working at CMSU and liking our jobs. Bill is staring his 7th year this
month and I will be starting my 5th year in July. We are thankful for the jobs we have and the
benefits that go along with it. It is a
blessing as both of our jobs are pretty regularly scheduled, yet very flexible
if needed.
Well, I
guess that’s all for now, except Billy wanted to tell you something…
“I’m glad
that mommy let me tell you this exciting news!
I am going to be a Big Brother in June.
I will be the best big brother in the whole world! It will be fun to have someone to play with
and mommy and daddy are happy too!”
May each
of your families have a wonderful 2005 and I know God will bless each of you!
Love,
Bill, Kriste and Billy Brinkley
